Gone are the days of bringing along a folder full of every certificate you have ever received to your interview; however it is good practice to have a few copies of your resume with you during an interview in case the hiring manager asks for a copy.

This is how you present a hard-copy resume:

• Use high-quality paper to print your resume on. Hiring managers will notice the quality of the paper, and they will appreciate that you have gone to some trouble.
• Print a hard copy of your resume in standard A4. Other sizes will be annoying for the hiring manager to keep on file, and could seem gimmicky.
• Prepare multiple copies of your resume if more than one person is interviewing you or f you are presenting to a panel. We suggest arriving with 3 to 5 just in case.
• Carry your resume into the interview in a portfolio folder or plastic sleeve to keep it clean and free of creases. There is nothing worse than having someone fish out a folded resume from the bottom of their handbag.
• If you have a two-page resume (or longer), use paperclips or staples to attach the pages together.

Before beginning the interview, present a hard copy of your resume to each interviewer.
