What’s the goal of having a good resume?
Our goal in providing you with all of the tools, tips and templates you need to create an awesome resume is to make you confident to get it out there, proud of what you have achieved so far, and make you stand out so you get an interview.

So many talented people just can’t articulate their skills and experience concisely into a resume. We think this is unfair (and quite frankly ridiculous). We are excited to offer everyone the opportunity to present themselves well on paper and give themselves the best chance at getting an interview for a role they want.

What if I still need someone to check what I have written?
We understand how hard it can be to write amazing things about yourself to get an interview for a job you really want, which is why we offer a ‘Review my Resume’ option within your dashboard. You can choose how the timeframe, and we will have an expert critique your resume and provide professional feedback to help you succeed in your job search.
Do I really need a Cover Letter? It seems very 1980’s.
Yes. You do. And it needs to be good.
Doesn’t the Cover Letter just rehash what is in my Resume?

Your cover letter should be a personal letter to the person who is managing the hiring process. This is likely the person who will interview you, so it is important to treat this as your introduction to the decision-maker. Your cover letter needs to highlight what is in your resume, specifically the experience that is important to the role you are applying for, and it needs to stand on its own.

We view cover letters as a way of illustrating the strengths and skills you need for the particular role you are applying for. If they want someone who is an excellent communicator, prove you are by writing an excellent cover letter. If you sense they are after someone warm and with a sense of humour, let that shine through in your writing. If they require someone who is creative and displays initiative, this is your chance to shine. Don’t waste the opportunity to create a fabulous cover letter and express some personality. We promise it can be the difference between getting an interview and not.
