Listen… they are probably better than nothing if your only other option is just pulling together some information and chucking it in a Word doc. Their selection of templates is on the smaller side, and they don’t always look good when downloaded to your computer as a Microsoft Word (DOCX) or PDF file.
If you choose to share your resume while it is stored in Google Drive, you will have to remember to adjust your settings so that hiring managers and recruiters can gain access to your resume and then pray that it downloads safely.
Not all hiring managers and recruiters use Google Drive, so we think this is a bit of a risky tactic. We recommend that you attached a PDF file to your email directly and cut out any chance of your resume not reaching the right person.
